Here are some photos of the outside, the garden. Try their Airbnb link for some more photos so you can see the splendour of the inside ("a 20 year WIP" is how Kevin and Lesley describe it). When the link opens if you scroll to the bottom there are about 50 photos you flick through.
The sequence below is offered to provide a sense of what it was like for us as we drove in and up the driveway out of chaotic Friday afternoon traffic congestion in the streets outside. Quite the respite!

There are two suntraps in the garden near the House (many more throughout the garden). Here is the view of two of them from inside ... the left one the morning sun; the right one for the afternoon sun (though you can see a blue-clad Deb reclining against the hedge!).

And a final one that captures the essence of the peacefulness of the location ... A close up of Deb in the same location as above right BUT from a different angle showing what a wonderful heart she has :) ... she was very relaxed and the framing was an unintended outcome!
We are enjoying our stay here very much - charming hosts as well!

I can understand the "shangri-la" effect if you had just left traffic hell (why I like to use public transport in UK) Deb looks pensive....and what a spot for reflection....with very cleverly placed heart! Send my love 💗
ReplyDeleteJust had a look at the airbnb link....you may never want to leave!!
ReplyDeleteAlas ... we had to and we have; but lots to share yet about our time in Bristol and our return journey. It certainly would have been easy to stay longer!
DeleteThose address directions are nothing compared to India's I can assure you!
ReplyDeleteLoving reading of your travels and reflections.

I can only imagine ... I'm sure most of the time there are NO numbers, but fortunately plenty of locals to guide the way ;).
