A (first) visit to Cromer

Another seaside town we have visited is Cromer. It is north east of Norwich, again overlooking (literally, as you can see below) the North Sea and again on a relatively calm day. This visit was to take Belinda for a drive for a walk to a place she has not yet visited. The reason for not visiting is the "tired" and "crap" nature of the town - apparently. Not nearly as gaudy as Great Yarmouth and time fades all glory anyway!

So, first the view from the cliff-top promenade (this also forms part of the North Norfolk Path, Peddars Way and National trail - not all hard work!). Left is looking west, right to the east and the pier. Then a close up of the pier and view to the east beyond the pier.

 

 

A few glimpses of the architecture ... hard not to look tired this close to the North Sea, so I think the local critics are a little harsh.

 And it would be fair to say the walk went well and Cromer was enjoyed!
