This time next week will also be our departure from The Dairy - our "home" since 18 March. Same period we have had the car. As noted in a recent post, here is a sense of how the landscape has changed here since we arrived. The photos on the left are from March pretty much when we arrived; the photos on the right taken in the last week or two after our return from Bristol pretty much showing the same scenes.
As with most things, humans do it differently to nature :) ... we rug up in winter while nature is unclothed, baring all and hiding very little; we uncover when it warms up while nature clothes herself, hiding her frames and offering new layers of cover to protect from the warmth and prying eyes. Combine the glimpses of the landscape below and the earlier shots of the local wildlife currently wandering and paddling around here and I'm sure you can appreciate why it has been a pleasure on so many levels.
The Dairy (more correctly, Lodge Farm Holiday Barns, Bawburgh, since it is one of 3 available) ... cannot recommend it highly enough if you visit Norwich and it is available.
Yesterday I drove to a familiar spot & later did a walk around the city and river to get similar shots of "then and now". I shall create a similar post to this next to again show the transformation while we have been here ... a little different sentiment in some respects because the previous themes of colour by blossom in spring has largely passed to something much more verdant ... but that is next time.
Then was another treat ... lunch at the Catholic Cathedral Cafe in a wonderful simple garden, followed by a wander next door, in the sunshine, around the much more complex but quite beguiling Plantation Garden.
